THE
DOCTOR'S JOURNAL 12/17/99 STROKE is the commonest cause of neurological disabilities in Western countries. Although it usually affects those age 50 and above, it can strike anyone at any age depending on the causative factors involved. Recognizing the signs of a stroke can save your life or someone else's life, and even prevent complete or partial paralysis. 12/9/99 IMPOTENCE is as common as the cold but much more treatable. 10/25/99 THE AGING PROCESS is something no one escapes. The Speed at which it occurs depends on how we live. Slowing down the aging process depends chiefly on the individual and the steps they are willing to take to slow the process down, and even reverse it to a great degree. By making this commitment, the individual increases longevity and adds years to his or her life. 10/21/99
SPONDYLOLISTHESIS, is a long word that is probably
unfamiliar to most people. The meaning is subluxation
of one vertebra upon another. Subluxation is the
displacement of one or more bones of a joint... This
condition usually affects the lumbosacral joint, which
is the 5th lumbar vertebra upon the sacrum (the large
triangular bone at the end of the spine).

a motion constantly, can place a particular muscle or
group of muscles under severe stress.

synonymous with the results of an automobile accident.

the mechanism, and how "Whiplash" occurs

happen, and the results of it.

Spondylitis is defined as an inflammation of one
or more vertebrae. Spondylalgia is pain referred to a
vertebra. Spondyloarthritis is the inflammation of a

adjoins the next). One form of spondylitis can be
caused by tuberculosis, and is called Pott's
disease...
