Important News for Bodybuilders

by Titan Research Staff

January 1999

Many sports practitioners - whose male and female body-building patients experiment with a wide variety of products, report that both Factor Three: Virilitrac and Factor Ten: Femtrac work synergistically with creatine phosphate (CP) or creatine monohydrate powders to increase muscle mass and definition beyond the "sticking point" or plateau that many bodybuilders experience in their workouts.

Both the monohydrate and phosphate forms of creatine are similar except the monohydrate form must be converted by the body into the phosphate form before it can be utilized. Such conversion requires an additional energy expenditure by the body which is why many athletes prefer the phosphate form of creatine.

Titan Laboratories' team of independent orthomolecular chemists and formulators have researched this phenomenon and discovered that both Virilitrac tablets or Femtrac capsules, when taken in combination with creatine phosphate power, does indeed assist the bodybuilder in developing additional muscle mass and definition beyond the normal plateau.

Here's why!

Muscle function requires the input of energy in the form of ATP (adenosine triphosphate). Creatine phosphate (CP) serves as a high-energy reservoir source in muscle cells. As ATP releases energy to the muscles, the byproduct adenosine diphosphate (ADP) is formed. The ADP thus formed is combined with enzymatically released high-energy phosphate from creatine phosphate to resynthesize further ATP.

In essence, creatine phosphate serves as a high-energy reservoir source in muscle cells. Exertion of very high intensity and short duration - such as weightlifting - draws primarily on reserves of CP. The body naturally produces CP from foods containing phosphate and stores it in muscle cells.

Although ingestion of creatine phosphate powder increases the muscles' natural CP reservoir only slightly - it appears sufficient to provide an edge in breaking through the "sticking point" in muscle development.

Now for the exciting news!

Increased ATP levels can be enhanced in muscles without taking expensive creatine powders! In evaluating CP, Titan's research staff discovered an ergogenic aid - an inexpensive tonic that enables the muscles to take advantage of their own storehouse of CP - without the need to force additional CP into the body through ingesting supplemental CP power.

Approximately one hour prior to performing resistance exercise, eat a small amount of fruit, such as a banana, pear or apple. Then take one eight to ten ounce glass of cold water - stir in two teaspoons of fructose (fruit sugar) and one to two teaspoons of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) - and drink with one to two tablets of Factor Three: Virilitrac (for men) or one to two capsules of Factor Ten: Femtrac (for women).

Here's what happens after you swallow this simple tonic!

The fruit and fructose sugar will enhance the process of glycolysis, in which the energy in glucose (blood sugar) is released during intense exercise. Sodium bicarbonate, which is also an alkaline salt found in the blood, buffers lactic acid produced during the anaerobic phase of high-intensity exercise.

This buffering action permits the production of ATP via anaerobic glycolysis to continue for a limited period without reducing the blood pH to fatigue-producing levels.

Factor Three:Virilitrac or Factor Ten: Femtrac provides the proper nutrition to stimulate the glandular system to produce additional androgens needed during this phase of muscle activity in both males and females.

Considering the small impact manufactured creatine has on the muscle's natural CP reservoir, and its relatively high cost, the above tonic should be suggested to serious bodybuilders.

Furthermore, much of the creatine products on the market - both the monohydrate and phosphate forms - are of such poor quality that ingestion of large amounts over a prolonged period may result in liver damage.
